A still life featuring the Mutsu (also called Crispin) crop of Applecrest, a locally run apple farm in Hampton Falls.
What do these apples taste like?
A cross between a Golden Delicious and a Japanese apple called an Indo. Crisp and juicy, the Mutsu reminds me of the verbena lemon tree from my backyard garden in Whittier California. I found these in New Hampshire right in the little town of Hampton Falls. These were picked from the oldest continuously operating apple orchard in the United States, Applecrest Farm.
