Catching Up – a Fall Landscape in New England

Back story…I found a photo from Arthur Griffin’s photographic journey through New England and used his photo for reference. I don’t typically paint from other’s photos (unless I’m doing a commission), but this scene reminded me of my fav girlfriend time, so I changed some colors and created this 10 x 12″. It’s exactly how it feels to walk with a friend along a country lane in the peak of Fall. “Catching Up”

All Jonalyn’s paintings arrive with a living edge. You can frame her art by either covering or showcasing this raw edge. Jonalyn’s favorite way to frame her work is in a “float mount” showcasing this raw, living edge.
