Watercolor Print "Sugar Shack"

This piece was originally painted for Nate and Kira Reynolds. They generously provided permission for me to offer this print to you.

Artist’s Note: This painting was a longtime in coming. My husband and I met Nate and Kira while we lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Nate ran a successful construction company, building lovely luxury homes. But, we later learned that Nate began understanding and sharing his abilities with his small Christian school in his hometown of Candia, New Hampshire. It took our move to New Hampshire to put all the pieces together. This sugar shack was Nate’s first post-and-beam construction. And it is still used to process maple syrup each winter by the Jesse Remington High School in Candia, New Hampshire. I visited this sugar shack with my boys last winter, took the reference photos as Nate had mentioned he’d like me to paint it for him. I worked with Nate and his wife, Kira, to create this larger piece. I’ve included a shot of Nate and Kira touring my studio in June 2022, when they picked up their original painting.

I offer professional prints on watercolor paper as options to all my commissioners. Nate chose several print sizes for family gifts and auction pieces. I’m holding the largest in the last photo so you can see the size differences.

Acid-free print of original watercolor. Unframed.
