Original, 8″ x 10”, watercolor on 140 lb 100% cotton Saunders’ St. Cuthbert’s Mill paper. Unframed.
I’d be happy to send you a high resolution picture of this piece. Then you can really zoom into the details! Just send me a note here.
This was one of the first Cottonwood trees to turn gold in the Yampa River Valley near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I stood on the side of the road to paint this picture outside along the busy highway. This is what painters call “plein air” in the outside air, to really capture the colors, shadows and values properly. I don’t usually sell my plein air pieces. This one is an exception.
This painting is available at Sullivan Gallery in Bedford.
